Sam Karl Bohn

London-based Samuel Bohn has been described as a ‘one to watch’ in the film scoring industry. His music draws on and is best known for its emotive and evocative intensity and as an award-winning composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Bohn has successfully merged his admiration for moving pictures with his musical prowess.

His work on Ravi Ajit Chopra’s film Cognition earned Bohn more than 10 ‘Best Score’ awards at film festivals across the world. In recent years, Bohn has scored the adaptation of Stephen Fry’s best-selling novel The Hippopotamus and BBC series The Cleanerstarring Greg Davies and Helena Bonham Carter, directed by Tom Marshall.

Bohn won two Music and Sound Awards for his score work on The Theory of Everything trailer. His score for the trailer of Disobedience earned Bohn another Music and Sound Award, with his work on the trailers for On Chesil Beach and David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet also picking up further nominations. Bohn has also worked on advertising campaigns for industry-leading brands across the globe, including Mercedes, Emirates and Verizon, as well as HSBC and Subaru.

Samuel also composes and produces his own music under the moniker BOHN. His debut solo album Metanoia will be released this year.

Outside of music, Sam’s passions for sport (particularly soccer) satisfy his more competitive side. While his obsession for food means he keeps a firm eye on the opening of new and up—and-coming restaurants and wine bars, the most likely place to find him outside the studio.
